Ruby Valley Budget Trek

We start this drive early in the morning. We either take a local bus or private jeep to Darkha today. The road, leaving Kathmandu, passes Thankot, Malekhu and Dhading Besi. From Dhanding Besi, we drive along country road till we get to Darkha Besi. On the way, we pass numerous traditional settlements and magnificent landscapes.

We have beautiful breakfast before we leave Dharkha Besi. Today, the path passes numerous traditional settlements of Brahmin and Tamang people. You will also enjoy the walk via lush rhododendron and oak which finally takes us to Disang Khola. Stay at homestay and interact with local people.

Today’s trail is not so tough. We will see incredible natural water falls on the way. Also, we enjoy the walk through beautiful forest where we experience various species of birds and animals. Passing via picturesque traditional settlements of various ethnic groups, we reach beautiful Chalis Village. Explore the village with its incredible cultures of the locals.

We spend this day for exploration of Chalish Village and visit to hot spring nearby. Initially, we walk around the village, interact with the local, try to learn their authentic culture and lifestyle after breakfast. Next, we walk to hot spring and relax spending few hours into natural warm water. We, after that, walk back to Chalisha Village for overnight stay.

Again, the trail, today, passes through traditional settlements, natural water falls and deep woods. We walk along the Aada Khola celebrating virgin wilderness. We also see Hindu temples on the way. Enjoying the organic lunch on the way and passing through beautiful Tamang settlement of Tipling, we get to Laptung. The next, we are going to cross a high pass, Pang Sang Pass located at 3850m.

We will have the most spectacular day today because we are getting the two significant achievements including Pang Sang Pass and spectacular Ruby Valley. From Somdang, we ascend up to Pang Sang Pass located at 3850m which offers stupendous Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Langtang range. We enjoy the views and trek to Somdang passing Ruby Valley.

This is the second rest day during this trek. We spend this day for the exploration of incredible ruby valley and the local villages nearby. The sernene valley surrounded by astonishing mountain peaks will be breathtaking to experience. We also experience the valuable minerals including zinc, ruby and crystal today. Spend rest of the time interacting with local people.

We begin backtracking today after quality exploration of spectacular Ruby Valley and the local villages. We pass Khurpudanda Pass on the way. Walking via picturesque landscapes, we, finally, arrive at Gatlang.

This is the final day of our trek. We trek through deep rhododendron and traditional settlements. We also experience Langtang National Park at the end of this trek. Arrive at Syabrubesi which is the beginning point of Langtang Valley Trek and other trekking trails in Langtang region and wait for the next day’s long drive to Kathmandu.

We drive back to Kathmandu either with private jeep or local bus. You will pass Dhunche Bazar, Trishuli Bazar and Kakani on the way. After a long drive for 7-8 hours, we arrive in Kathmandu. Take your time to fulfill your needs onwards. You will join a cultural farewell dinner in the evening with us.
