They include the historic Durbar Square of Basantapur, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists’ shrine (Bouddha Nath). Boudha Nath is the largest spherical Stupa of Nepal. At the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion and trek leaders along with other team members will also be meeting to discuss about the upcoming adventure. Please do feel free to ask any questions regarding the trip that you are making.

After breakfast, we drive out along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. The bus going to Syabru Bensi is found in Balaju bypass. The road is serpentine and one can enjoy the Himlayan views and mountainous lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages from the starting point of the bus. We will take lunch at the Trishuli Bazar and continue further to Dhunche. From Dhunche, the bus descends down to Syabrubesi.

This day marks as the first day of our trekking. From Syabru Bensi, we ascend towards Langtang Khola River. Along the way we pass via dense forests to reach Pahiro. You can either lunch at Pahiro or Bamboo hotel near the area. The distance from Pahiro to Bamboo hotel is of around an hour. On many places the trail passes through several suspension bridges and tea houses. Though we ascend and descend in most of the places on this day, the trail is not that challenging. Our overnight will be at the Lama Hotel.

On this day, after breakfast, we start our journey. The trail of this day too continues along dense forests. Along the way, we reach the Riverside. There is a lodge and a tea-house there. We continue along the trail to reach Ghoda Tabela and from there the trail again ascends towards Thangshyap. This place is ideal to take our lunch. After enjoying delicious lunch there, the trail ascends towards Gumba Danda. From there, a short ascending will take you to the Langtang Village. There are various water mills, prayer wheels, chortens and sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions inscribed in it there. Our overnight will be in one of the lodges at Langtang village.

This day marks as the shortest trail of our entire trekking. We start our trek in the morning to get out of the village and pass through the yak pastures. Along the way we pass the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them. The prayer flags has interesting fact, according to the local legends, they are supposed to be like wild horses and are free to flap with the wind, just like our minds. Several wooden bridges need to be crossed along the trail. We have already bypassed a great deal of altitude and we may feel thin air around the Kyangjin Gumba. The magnificent view of glaciers, icefalls and natural vistas along with birds and yaks can be glanced from this point. Our overnight stay will be in one of the lodges in Kyangjin Gumba.

Kyanjin Ri (4,800m/15,748ft) and Tserko Ri (5,000m/16,404ft) are the good viewpoints of this area. You need to ascend the hill in order to reach both of these places. We will start our trek after breakfast. We ascend through the trail to reach Tserko Ri (5000m). Tserko Ri is famous for the most pleasant scenic view of the Langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge Lirung Glacier. After spending some time at the hill top of Tserko Ri, we descend back to the guest house of Kyanjin Gumba to have our lunch. We can explore around the kyanjing valley with a guide in the day time. Our overnight stay will be in a guest house at Kyanjin Gumba.

On this day, after breakfast, we start our journey towards Ganja La Phedi. Along the trail, we cross the Langtang River and ascend through rhododendron forests. Since, we are at high altitude, the time to get to our destination depends upon the weather. During the winter season, due to snow fall, it might take longer to cross the snow strewn path to reach to Gonja La Phedi.

The trail of this day would be a strenuous one as Gonja La pass is marked as one of the most difficult one. This pass is covered with snow almost throughout the year. We need to ascend through the boulders at many places. There are also beautiful lakes along the way. After crossing the lake, we travel towards the rocky moraine to reach Gonja La. Proper precaution should be taken while ascending and descending on this day as the trail is covered with snow and ice, it may get slippery at times. After spending some time at Ganja La, we descend down to the beautiful village of Keldang. Our overnight stay will be at Keldang.

On this day we trek from Keldang to Yak Kharka. From Keldang, the trail further descends downs following the prominent ridge line. The natural sceneries of the mountains would make this trek even more mesmerizing as we descend through forests, ridges and grasslands. It takes around 5-6 hours to reach Yak Kharka from Keldang. Our overnight stay will be in one of the lodges at Yak Kharka.

Today, from Yak Kharka, we descend continuously towards Tarke Gyang. We descend around 1500 meters on this day. The trail of this day too would be similar to the previous day but as we descend lower, there would be more vegetation. The trail further leads us to Tarke Gyang which will mark as the village for our overnight stay.

Tarke Gyang lies in the Helambu region. This day, from Tarke Gyang, we cross a small forest and descend towards the wide valley. The trail further leads us to the village of Parachin and Gangyul. It is interesting to note that the village Parachin practice Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism. This Buddhism is the national religion of Bhutan. After crossing these village we reach Sermanthang. Sermanthang marks the village for our overnight stay. (2,610m/8,563ft).

On this day, we descend from Shermanthang towards the Melamchi Bazaar. Along the way we can see many beautiful Sherpa villages. From Melamchi Bazaar, we catch a bus to drive back to Kathmandu.
